Amateur Radio

Like computers, ever since an early age I have been intersted in radio and electronics.

In the late 1980's, I enrolled in an amateur radio course, which I passed, resulting in me being issued with the amateur radio call sign G1MLO.

I was quickly dubbed as the "Mainly Listening Operator" (MLO) by my radio colleagues, as I would much rather listen and tinker than transmit and talk... and that is still the case today.

My interests include the detection of signals from spacecraft, amateur radio satellites and lately digital communications - data rather than voice!
